Originally from Seattle, WA, Mariah was raised in a musical family with too many pets. Her interest in musical theatre was piqued when she was tall enough to stand next to her violinist parents and watch the front half of shows from the orchestra pit.
She recently received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University where she trained in the vocal studio of renowned soprano, Carolann Page. She attended the summer intensive at the Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC, where she was introduced to the Meisner technique, as well as acting for camera, Shakespeare, voice and speech, and more. She currently studies voice with Matt Farnsworth, and attends scene study classes with Gary Kingston.
Since moving to New York in the summer of 2018, Mariah signed with Avalon Artists Agency and has had the opportunity to perform in some exciting new work around the city. She recently played the lead role of Girl in the 2019 National Tour of ONCE, directed by J. Michael Zygo and Shaun Peknic.
Mariah is also a professional pianist and songwriter. (Check out her music page for more information!)

“A trained classical pianist, she plays just as well as she sings. Lotz is a siren, haunting us with her voice and making us yearn for things and places we've never known.”
